Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno
(Billionaire At A Young Age)

Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, also knowns as Sandi Uno was born in Rumbai, Pekanbaru, Riau on June 28th, 1969. This son of Mien R. Uno, is a humble, smiling figure that brought a huge phenomena in Indonesia’s business areas. Just imagine, guys! In a very young age, which is 43 years in 2012 ago, he has been named as the richest man in Indonesia ranked in number 29 by the international magazine, Forbes. So far, now he has a wealth of around Rp 8 trillion. Amazing, isn't?

After receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration with a summa cum laude from Wichita State University in 1990, he worked at Bank Summa owned by William Soeryadjaya, a very meaningful figure and mentor in teaching him business. In 1992, Uno earned a Masters of Business Administration from George Washington University. Through his ups and downs looking for jobs, he managed to survive his hardships and built his business empire. A really hardworking person that should be proud of.

Now, he was one of the founders of Saratoga Capital, an investment company he founded with Edwin Soeryadjaya in 1998. He is also one of the founders of PT. Recapital Advisors, an asset management company which was founded in 1997 along with his school friend, Rosan Roeslani. Good network with company and financial institutional really applied here.

In 2008, Uno received the award as 'Indonesian Entrepreneur of the Year' from Enterprise Asia. Discipline and confidence in leading are very important in doing business activities to get achievement.

Sandi really enjoys playing sports such as basketball. He has  married to a beautiful woman, Nur Asia and has two daughters and one son. I really admired him because of his never endless hardwork, prayers, and also love and care for his family. Hopefully one day, I will be a great businessman just like him.

  1. Hi Adistya, I'll give some corrections to your post. Actually, your article is very good and it's easy enough to understand. But, there are some errors on your post, here they are:

    1. Your first sentence on the third paragraph the to be "was" should be "is" because the adverb is "now". It means it's occuring at the moment so you should use present tense. And you can add article "the" on this sentence. So, the sentence should be " Now, he is the one of the founders of Saratoga Capital, an investment company he founded with Edwin Soeryadjaya in 1998."

    2. Then, the second sentence of the 4th paragraph "Uno also listed as a Fellow and delegates from 21 Asian organizations in 2008" should be "Uno was also listed as a Fellow...." because it's a passive voice so you need "to be" before "the verb" to make it correct. And because the sentence is past so you have to you use "was" as to be.

I think that's all about the corrections, it may help you to be a better writer. But your work is very great after all. Keep writing, dude :)
