of Andrew Darwis - Owner Kaskus
Andrew Darwis was born in July 20th , 1979 in Jakarta. He is the
founder of the largest online community in Indonesia, that is the Kaskus site. Kaskus has more than 3 million
members. Andrew is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in Media Indonesia PT Darta
(Kaskus) and owner Kaskus.
Andrew began his education at the elementary Tarakanita Pluit
Jakarta, then continued his education at the Junior High School Tarakanita
Pluit Jakarta, his continued in Gandhi National Senior High School Ancol
Jakarta. Then Andrew studied at the University of Bina Nusantara, in 1998 major
Department of Information System. He moved university to improve his knowledge
about system information, he studied at Seattle University in America, major multimedia & web
design and Master of Computer Science.
KASKUS Site founded in November 6th,
1999 by Andrew Darwis, Ronald, and Budi. They had made it when they were
assigned to make program from free software. With
initial capital of U.S. $ 3 (Rp. 30.000, -) to buy a server, Andrew, and two
colleges, Ronald and Budi, choose to make a portal that contains the news and
information about Indonesia. The benefit is getting better stretching online
business, and many people who start online businesses see Andrew as a great
potential to support.
I have known about Andrew Darwis since I like game of GTA Vc.
Kaskus has an information to modification this game, I thought, “who were the
founders this site? It was a great portal information”. I was looking for the
founders, and I found three young people were founders. One of the name is
Andrew Darwis. It has been giving me a motivation to success when I am young.
